Note to African American Brides

In the process of developing this site, it proved to be very difficult to find African American wedding hairstyles. There was no lack of effort, but by their lack of availability online, you would think women of color never get married. Where are the pictures of black women's wedding hairstyles?

Trying to find pics of real black brides, and not just bridal models, was like looking for a needle in a haystack. Any wedding photographers who have them and read this page are more than welcome to email and share them. After looking at other wedding hairstyles websites, it became even more clear there are too many frustrated black brides who are searching online in vain. That has to change.

Thanks to Sarah who emailed to share a blog which has African American Wedding Hairstyles pictures. It has over 200 updos and many different formal styles for black women. It was built in 2009 and has been updated in 2010.
